You could see the two policemen's lack of knowledge and regulations in making an arrest. I believe majority of Malaysian police force is ignorant and inadequately educated in requirements and regulations for making arrests and therefore find themselves bumbling fools when faced with an educated person who can question them on their status to arrest. In the end you see the arrest made forcefully because of higher up orders.
Such an incident when viewed by ordinary citizens naturally gives the impression of a police state that exists in Malaysia. Then you have the leaders of the country, equally ignorant of law and procedures not responding to such unlawful and dictatorlike actions. Viewed by foreigners, what kind of message is sent to them about Malaysia?
Shake everything down, what we have is a government of one race that is insecure, reluctant to improve themselves because there is no necessity to do so, improperly educated and unqulified to hold important government positions running the country. All the leader/s do is parrot feel-good cliches that originate from proper and qualified leaders of truly democtatic countries. The PM and his buffoons don't really understand what they mouth off or they are insincere in implementing them.
At this rate, I see Malaysia going only one way. This small tremor of recent display of dissatisfaction with the racist and discriminatory UMNO government by BERSIH and HINDRAF is only the beginning of a bigger shake to the country. When the inefficient and corrupt UMNO government ends up with majority of Malaysians of ALL RACES not knowing how to make ends meet then the full eruption will happen...because there is nothing to lose anymore. This is where I hope some sensible UMNO leaders will open their eyes fast enough and change. Otherwise,.....umph, who knows?
